Arghhh. One of the things I learned a long time ago was when a creative idea lands in my head, I either do something with it right away – as in kill it or I wind up adopting it as my own. That adoption is often not deliberate but it is no less effective for its unconscious state.
And so it is with this first novel project. The idea is in there -won’t leave and won’t let me play nicely with another idea.
I have decided if I can’t beat it, I may as well write it. So I’ve signed on to write a novel that any other 13-year old boy could write and to have a great time doing it.
I suspect you’ll never get to read this one but it will be out of my system and I’ll move forward from here.
That’s what I get for growing up on Robert Heinlein and Starship Troopers
